Vedbhavan Daily Activities

The students of age group 10 to 12 years are given admission in the Institute-Vedpathshala. The learning period is about 12 to 15 years, in which first-year is for teaching daily activities and from next year onwards actual training starts.

The daily activities of the student are—at morning 5 am Physical cleaning, then milk the cows in their shed, 6 am bathing, Sandhya, Suryanamaskars. 7.30 am along with national song, Vedic prayer.

The daily activities of the student are
5 am
Personal Cleanliness such as Toilet, Brushing etc., then milk the cows in their shed.
6 am
Bathing, Sandhya, Suryanamaskars.
7.30 am to 12:00 pm
Vedic prayer with National anthem to start with and afterwards vocal recitation of Veda.
12.30 to 1.30
Vaishwadev for food-purity, Trisuparna Pathan, Annapoorna-shlokas pathan and lunch /Bhojan.
1.30 to 2 pm
Rest
2.00 pm till the sun-set
Learning – Vedic Mantra, Sutra etc.
Evening
Sayan-sandhya, Shubhankaroti etc.
9 pm
Dinner and then taking rest.
The completion of Rigved-Sanhita takes four and half year. Rigved-Sanhita is divided into 8 Ashtakas, 64 Adhyayas having 10552 Mantras.

Aitareya Brahmin, contains 40 Adhyayas and takes one and half year.

Aitareya Aranyaka is to be studied only in Uttarayan and in the morning with sacred clothing i. e. Sovale, if done in Shri Shankar temple gives best result. It is not to be learnt inside the house. It takes time of 4 to 5 months.

In the learning time sub-book/Up-grantha is not studied on Swadhyaya day, but it is studied on Ashtami(8th day), Chaturdashi (14th day), Pournima(full-moon day) and Amavasya (no-moon day). These include sub-book/Up-grantha like Shiksha, Jyotish, Chhanda, Nighantu, Aashwalayan, gruyasutra, Aashwalayan shroutsutra, self-structured Nairutya and Panineeya Ashtadhyayi.

Rigveda Padabhar takes two years.

Numerous religious and cultural programs during the year as per Sanatan Vedic religion, i. e, from Chaitra Shuddha Pratipada to Falgun Amavasya are organized/ celebrated every year. They are as follows:

  • Chaitra Shuddha Pratipada (Gudipadawa)—Students read collectively almanac after worshiping Brahmadhwaj means Gudhi.
  • Ramnavami –Birth of Ram, and on Chaitra Pournima.
  • Hanuman Jayanti.
  • Shri Siddhivinayak Pratishtha-Anniversary day alongwith Siddhibuddhi in Ved Bhavan is celebrated. On Chaitra Vadya Saptami – Samprokshan Vidhi Vardhapan day. Siddhivinayak day on Ashtami.
  • Parashuram Jayanti and Kumbhadan on Akshayyatrutiya.
  • On Vaishakh Shuddha Panchami Jayanti of Shri Jagatguru Aadya Shankaracharya.
  • On Ashadha Shuddha Panchami on Mahaekadashi Japa of Panchsukta is offered.
  • On Bhadrapada Chaturthi, Partheev Siddhivinayak festival.
  • 15th August Independence Day.
  • Ashwin Sharadeey Navratra, worship of Saraswati, Vijayadashami (Dasara) – new Vedarambha/starting new Veda four days.
  • Deepavali festival.
  • Kartik Shuddha Panchami to Shuddha Pournima, in these days Rigved Sanhit Swahar by the Vedpath Shala students, in which past and present students join – Vedpath Shala—Anniversary On. 26th January –Republic Day.
  • Kartik Shuddha Dwaadashi, Shraddha and at evening prize distribution in memory of Ved Maharshi.
  • Kartik Shuddha Tripurari Pournima – Deepotsav/Light festival in Ved Bhavan.
  • Magh Vadya Pratipada to Magh Vadya Vasant Panchami—Ganesh Jayanti festival in Ganesh Mandir.
  • 26th January – Republic Day.
